Come experience Christ with us through Service!

We believe that as disciples of Jesus Christ we are called to move out beyond our church building in love and service to others. This is a practice commonly called outreach. Therefore, 25% of our annual budget is spent on ministries outside of our local church. In addition to our financial giving, we are also engaged in acts of care and ministry in our local community and around the globe.

We have monthly mission projects that we support like Downtown Rescue Mission, Hope Place, local schools and nursing homes. We are blessed to participate with our local DCS in providing an angel tree and lunchoen for the caregivers of these children supported. We are also eager to get our hands dirty in showing the love of Christ to others through projects with Heifer International, Shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, and a local soup kitchen.

Service is an important part of being a disciple of Christ and we engage all ages and stages in the pursuit of giving service to others.

Being a small membership church, Christ Church has the wonderful opportunity of “thinking outside  the box” when it comes to education, nurture, and fellowship.

We have a broadly graded Sunday school class for our children that utilizes a variety of teaching  methods and resources such as computers, art, drama, and other hands-on activities. In addition to  Sunday school for adults, we also provide times of education and spiritual growth throughout year  such as Lent and Advent studies, book reviews, and summer study series.

We are a congregation that likes to spend time together, so like most churches we have potluck meals at Thanksgiving, Christmas parties, Easter Morning breakfast, women’s and men’s fellowship ministries, and children activities. We are also known in the community as the “Pumpkin Church” for our annual Pumpkin Patch. Our church family, both members and friends, is divided into Shepherd Groups which further provide support and care in times of crisis as well as times of celebrations.
